Tip 1

Instead of soda, commit to drinking:

  • Water (everyday - all you want!)
  • Non-fat or Low-fat Milk
  • 100% Fruit Juice (limit to 1/2 cup daily)
  • Unsweetened Iced Tea
  • Diet Soda (once in awhile)

Tip 2

Add a slice of orange, lemon, lime, or cucumber to your water for very few calories and lots of flavor!

Tip 3

100% Juice should not be provided to children prior to 6 months, should be limited to 4-6 ounces a day for children 1-6 years old, and 8 to 12 oz. for children 7 to 18 years old (American Academy of Pediatrics).
